Financial Reports
District Certified Annual Report (CAR)
As required by Iowa Code, the district completes a Certified Annual Report (CAR), which is a report of the district's financial data, each year by September 15th, following the close of the fiscal year. A Special Education Supplement Report and Transportation Annual Report are submitted along with the Certified Annual Report.

District Treasurer's Annual Report
Each fiscal year the Board Treasurer is required to submit a report of the district's books as of end of fiscal year for the Board of Education's review and approval.

District Annual Audit Report
Iowa School Districts are required by Iowa Code to have the financial condition and transactions of the district audited by an independent auditor each year. This includes an audit of the following:
All school funds including categorical funding provided by the state;
The Certified Annual [Financial] Report (CAR);
Certified Enrollment;
Supplementary Weighting;
Revenues and Expenditures of any Nonprofit School Organization;
Entrepreneurial Education Funds.

District Financial Report Card
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as reauthorized by Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), requires all state education agencies and local education agencies to report school-level per pupil expenditure data.
